Director of D-Railed Dance Ltd
Hi my name is Sheryl and I am the owner of D-Railed Dance. I love teaching Dance, it’s my biggest passion in life along with raising two head strong girls.
I started dancing at the age of 3, training in ISTD/RAD in Ballet, Modern, Disco/Street and Rock n Roll. I spent many weekends as a young girl taking part as a competitive freestyle dancer in ADFP Competitions at championship level. This led to a range of performances in pantomimes and dance shows in and around London’s West End. My passion for dance drove me to start a career in teaching after studying and gaining a Bachelor of Arts at Laban. I have now been teaching for over 22 years. During this time, I have taught across the age spectrum from babies to adults, developing dance within the community, as well as the public sector. I also teach individuals who have physical or learning disabilities, emotional and mental health needs and those who are gifted and talented. I gained my Qualified Teacher Status and worked in charge of Dance Departments in Secondary Schools for over 12 years. Observed as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, I establish high standards of practice and encourage all to be their very best.

We offer fabulous Leadership opportunities to our older students. They are there for extra support; to assist and help the children and teacher where needed. What a great first paid job too!

So much fun...
We are a non competitive School with fun at the heart of all we do. In addition to our classes we run many seasonal events; Halloween Discos, Christmas parties, Shows and we love a bit of fancy dress!
